I Am So Over This...
This being summer... I am ready for fall. My absolute favorite time of year in Oregon is the fall, mainly September and October. That's when it is still mild here and mostly sunny. This last week of weather has been hell! Quite literally. We have officially had THREE days of triple digit heat here. It has been miserable because it hasn't been dry desert heat but muggy icky heat. Today should be the last of the worst, and it should go down to low nineties... I am a coastie, I am not designed for heat... It was so bad we had to move the matress into the living room so we can sleep somewhat comfortably (the living room is where the AC is). We have decided that the next place we live (whether another rental [hopefully not] or someplace we buy) will have central air and heat. End of story. And next year we will definitely get a small AC unit for the bedroom... There are NONE left in Salem, hence why it has to wait unless they get more at Costco... And that's why I haven't posted in the last week. It has been to effing hot to even turn on the laptop. I will post again this weekend. Friday (tomorrow!!) Cassidy is spending the night and then Saturday we are going to Corvallis to see Joshua. I am excited. She is excited. Joshua is excited. We're all EXCITED!!! And tonight, if it isn't too warm when I get off, Collin and I are going to play the new Wii game we got on Sunday; Wii Sport Resort. It looks like so much fun!! I really want to try the skydiving... Not sure how you can "skydive" in your living room, but I will find out and I will let the world know. This posting has really lacked structure... It just kind of rambles, but oh well. Cheese Doodles!

It's A Cracked Out Day In The Neighborhood...
(Title is to be sang with the tune from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood....)
Today was insanely surreal.
First off, I didn't want to get out of bed in the first place. Seriously, Collin had to literally start pushing me off the bed before I would get up... This is actually quite normal though; the not wanting to get up, not the him pushing me out of bed...
Second thing about today (and this one fucks with me every week) it's my Tuesday, but Collin's Friday....
This here, this is the effing clincher that proved I should have stayed in bed where the crazy shit can't get to me. Before really getting to work at the office all of us typically go outside and smoke (I know, I know... Eww smoking's gross. I promise I will quit entirely when I no longer am so stressed out at work.) and this morning was no different. The five of us were just preparing to go in and get to work after sharing what we had all done the previous evening and picking up any new gossipy type stuff when all hell broke loose. This car pulled up to the stop sign at the corner of 18th and State. I noticed that this chick was leaning out the window in the passenger seat as though she was going to spit or puke or something. The car started to go but was really jerky, like the driver had hit the gas, then let off and then hit the gas again. The car barely made it fifteen feet from the corner, and the passenger door flew open and the chick started screaming at us (I think she screamed for help at first). The car thankfully came to a stop before she managed to get her seat belt off and come tumbling out of the car. She came running up to us screaming, "Help me! You gotta help me! Please someone help me." All of us were trying to figure out what was wrong, the driver was a middle aged man and the girl seriously looked like a girl, maybe eighteen years old. The driver got out of the car and started to come over towards us, the girl freaked and took off east on State Street screaming for help, and just screaming. One of the girls I work with was already on the phone with 911, we all kind of tensed thinking the dude was the bad guy and was gonna grab her or start hitting her or something. After all, we didn't know who was who or what was happening. He asked that we call an ambulance for the girl, so that helped to calm us about him a little. The girl had come back our way and almost ran out into traffic a couple times, all the while screaming for help (Thank god she didn't get hit by a car...). Then the cops got there (three cruisers in all and a motorcycle cop) and a fire engine and an ambulance. The cops were there first and the girl became combative, they had to restrain her and cuff her. She continued to scream for help, screaming she didn't know what was going on; even after the EMTs arrived and were strapping her onto the back board she continued to scream. They carted her off and everyone left.
This is the background on what caused this insane scene: The girl had been drinking for a few days, no sleeping and no eating and shooting up crack to boot. The dude was her boyfriend's uncle. Her douche of a boyfriend had left her with his uncle after she started to complain that something was wrong with her stomach and she began a really bad trip. Her boyfriend's uncle was trying to get her to the hospital, but, as I said above, she didn't know what the hell was happening and was tripping hardcore. We don't know what happened to her after the EMTs took her away but hopefully the poor girl can get cleaned up.... It was messed up and in a way very sad.
Yea... So that was my oh so exciting Tuesday... And all that happened before 9am... The rest of the day was uneventful... Thankfully...
Now I will forever be wary of passengers in cars that pass the office with the window open...
Cah-RAZY!
I'm going to chill now...

Okay, But I Am Not Drinking The Fruit Punch.
I am serious. I really don't like fruit punch. I don't mind berry punch... But fruit punch tastes weird... To me.
This last week, as the many before, has been crazy busy. I had a blast yesterday though. I got to spend the day with my niece. I took her out to the Canterbury Faire in Silverton (which is a renaissance fair). We watched the jousting tournament, and looked at all the booths of stuff. We had this picture taken of us:

I convinced Cassidy to dress up for the picture, the photographer could not convince me. LOL!
As it got warmer and the day progressed we left the fair and went to get lunch at Blue Willow, then we came back to my house and just hung out for a while. She really didn't want to go home, but I promised her that we are going to start doing things together a lot more often. I hope to take her on Saturdays at least every other week. Tyson and Jessie are okay with that, and I know Cassidy will love it. Jessie is generally the parental figure I talk to, which made me realize that I haven't seen Tyson in about four years (since my wedding day)... Odd...
Telia (my landlord), just stopped by, just wanted to ask that we water the grass around our house. That's fine by me, she pays for water. So I think I will pick up a hose and sprinkler later... Maybe we can do that tonight after Collin gets home...
That totally distracted me, and I know there was more to tell.... I am going to go read some I guess...
Maybe I will post more later.... Who knows...

The Interesting Thing About Agnes...
I imagine, unless you are K, you have been wondering, "What the hell happened to this chick?"
"Did she fall in a well?"
"Did she and her husband decide to move to Cananada and become protectors of the polar bears?" (How could I do that unless I went up there with a bunch of industrial size freezers and AC units?)
"Was she attacked and killed by a pack of mutant wombats?"
Put yourself at ease. None of those wild outlandish things happened. This last month has just been insane and every time I have had a free moment I really lacked the desire to turn my laptop on. At work I have been utterly swamped, which is good because it means job security, but bad because it has been stressing me out. At home I have been adjusting to Collin's new schedule (which isn't too bad, I just miss him on the weekends), and have been occupying my time by visiting my family, cleaning and organizing, and reading.
Recently I picked up four new books by two of my favorite authors at The Book Bin here in Salem. I got a steal of a deal on Fool by Christopher Moore (hardback for ten dollars!) and I also picked up Coyote Blue (also by Mr. Moore) for six dollars. The other two books are Snuff and Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. I am working on reading Snuff right now after reading the two Moore books. I love both of their writing styles because they are each twisted in their own special way.
... As for Agnes, what's interesting about her is she only has three legs! Not joking. This was something I heard on OnDemand under their "Pet Adoption" section... At the SW Washington Humane Society they had (or have) a three legged cat named Agnes, and they broke this to the potential adoptive families watching this thing on OnDemand exactly as above... Seriously, they couldn't come up with a better way to go about it? Maybe they could have tried, "Now we have Agnes. She is a four year old, three legged Maine Coon tabby. She is good with other cats.... blah blah..." Instead they made a big deal of it, announcing it and then holding her up so viewers could see that, yep, Agnes lacked a limb... Poor cat, how embarrassing... I wish I could have adopted her...
I think I mentioned in my last post (a month ago so I don't really remember... sometime I may have to go back and read some of the shit on here...) that Collin and I got an elliptical. I love it. Collin did an awesome job putting it together. I use it at least five times a week, and every time I do Spaz lays down somewhere near by and watches me with a "WTF are you doing?" look on her furry little face. I don't think she understands the concept, kind of like when I would workout before the elliptical, she'd think it was play time....
One of our neighbors moved out (the lady who had lived there for ten years. There is also a dude who has been there for twenty...) so Collin and I being the next longest residing tenants got the newly vacated garage! Go us! Now we can put all the totes with all of our crap (i.e. x-mas decorations and Halloween decorations) out in there instead of Collin's closet or the pantry. And the Christmas tree (which is back in its box) can have a home other than between the wall and the end of the sofa in the living room.... It is awesome. Now I just have to get used to parking the Blazer in there... I think I am going to try it from the other side tonight and see how well that works....
Hopefully now I will be getting back into this more because I really like telling my stories on here it's a good place to vent. Plus where else can I share some of my craziness without being locked away at the state hospital? Seriously.... If you know of a place let me know...
Peace Out to All the Faithful Homies!
