100th Posting!!!

So I have been saving this news because I figured it would make for an awesome 100th blog post. Honestly the people that actually read this probably already know... But so what. I am going to be an auntie to a third niece or nephew (won't know the sex until about late April early May)!!! My sister is preggo! She is due September 24th, which also happens to be the day Jordan was due, but he came out early on the 6th of September. I hope she gets all her stuff in order before she has the baby. As much as I worry about her, and some of the choices she makes, I love her dearly and am excited to have another baby niece/nephew. She is hoping for a girl since Bill (her sig other..... no comment) doesn't have a daughter. I don't care what it is as long as it is healthy, then I will have another little one to spoil that's not mine! HA!

I asked Jenn if I would get to cut the chord on this one too (I cut Jordan's chord), and she said, "But you live in Salem."

My response was, "Yea, so. I drive like a maniac, I already told work I may have to leave unexpectedly in September, and last time you were in labor it took fifteen hours."

She's like, "Okay, good point..."

There you have it my one hundredth post on here!! It's a milestone to say the least.

Sincerely Me

This last week has been crazy, and I just haven't had the energy or motivation to really post anything... Last week just dragged on and on and on and on... (You get the point) And, naturally, this weekend was WAY TOO SHORT. But it was still good.

Friday night we went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and bought some new sheets. Earlier in the week I kind of annihilated my pillow case... I was getting ready for bed and fluffing my pillow (I guess I got a little too violent) and it just tore. We have had these pillow cases for a while so oh well, plus it was time to get some new Spring sheets (the fleece sheets were starting to be too warm). We got a really nice set of jersey sheets that are extremely comfy. I love them!

Saturday we did the normal errands, then went our separate ways to go to get our hair cut (he goes to Great Clips [cheap], and I go to the salon my stylist works at). While at the salon, LeeAnn informed me that they do color so I had her redo my hair the really dark (practically black) brown and put in some foils of this hot pink magenta-y color. I Love It!!! There will be pictures soon on Myspace (like the next couple of days). As the top grows out (so in three months when I get it colored again) I will be adding more of the pink chunks to the back. I honestly think I should have been born with hair this color... I wonder why we don't get to have cool hair colors like this naturally...

After the salon, I helped Renee and Drea move Drea's stuff back home. I also helped on Sunday. Out of it I got a really cool dresser so now I have my own dresser and Collin has the old one for him. On Sunday we moved Drea's bed. That was an experience. We tied it to the top of the Blazer. Drea and I were terrified that it was gonna fall off, but it didn't. It was fun.

Collin and I watched a couple movies this weekend too. We watched Lakeview Terrace with Sammy J.... I will never interact with with my neighbors when we by a home... I will be anti social so I don't get attacked by some deranged nut job neighbor... It was an interesting movie...

Today marks day four with no soda. I am managing well... Before we stopped we only had a soda a day generally. So yeah...

I'm gonna go eat lunch (yay for leftover lasagna style enchiladas!). Since I know that this shows the posting time as when I started typing it, it's twelve o'clock right now as I finish...

Peace Out!

Is It Really Only Tuesday?!

Yesterday and today have been long enough that it should at least be Thursday by now...

I got the new pictures posted on Myspace this morning. I also condensed my multitude of albums...

The weather here lately has been Spring with a hint of Winter still. Yesterday with the wind and clouds it was downright frigid. Today hasn't been too bad so far, just started raining an hour ago and then stopped, and then started, and then stopped again. Oregon is dynamic if nothing else.

I have three cans of soda left, and then that's it... No more... As part of our healthier approach at life, Collin and I have agreed to cut soda from our diet. It'll be hard but I will kick the habit (as long as I still have my coffee and tea for caffeine). We want to lead healthier lives not only for ourselves but also should we ever decide to have kids we want to be able to keep up with the little monsters. Plus skinny people clothes are so much cheaper than fat people clothes.

I am so ready to go home... Only two and a half hours left.... Please lord let the time fly...

I need to get my hair cut this weekend and I need to talk to the girl who does my hair about getting color done. I don't think they do color at the new salon she is at, so I might have to go back to the other salon for my color. Everyone at work thinks I should put the bright pink back in my hair since I am staying here. Maybe Leeann's (my hair stylist) sister in law (who works at the salon she used to) can do my color... The color (even redoing the pink) should only run about sixty dollars... I will have to think about it because last time the pink started to fade fast... But I do want the really dark color all over again...

Being a chick is high maintenance.

Spring Cleaning, Nachos, and Party Hats

The "Spring Cleaning" and room rearrangement went very well. Tonight or tomorrow I will post some pics on Myspace of the before and after for both rooms. It looks a lot better now and the "office" area is more functional. I might even start using my desk instead of the dining room table. Might... The only bad outcome is that Collin and I feel like we have been beat to a pulp from moving everything... I honestly don't know how all the office crap fit in the smaller room. I mean, we Goodwill-ed (literally) a truck (Blazer) load of stuff from cleaning out the two closets and the office room. The walls in the room where we sleep now were just too bare. It was seriously freaking me out... So we went to World Market and Target and found a couple of nice pictures to hang in there (they'll be posted on Myspace too.).

In the process of everything this weekend I did something (I have no clue what) to really mess up my left elbow to the point that I can't really do much with it. It hurts to use my left arm to apply pressure to anything (I found this out last night as I was wiping the kitchen counter) and lifting anything (i.e. my thirty two ounce water bottle) with any significant weight is probably dangerous (I almost dropped said water bottle, full on my desk...). Ugh...

For dinner Saturday night we made homemade nachos. They were sooo good. The awesome nachos consisted of the following (layered in this order): organic corn chips, vegetarian refried beans (they have less fat), seasoned ground turkey, onions, olives, shredded cheese, repeat those ingredients, and finished with tomatoes, avocado, and sour cream. Yummy. I ate way to much and thought for sure I was gonna die. But it was worth it. I'll just have to walk a little more this week to make up for that mistake.

Saturday was my mommy's 47th birthday. I called her cell but she didn't answer so I left her a birthday message and let her know I loved her (and that she didn't have to waste minutes calling me back unless she could afford to. She has a Tracfone.). Today is my little (okay, okay he's not littler than me so younger...) brother's 22nd birthday. I sent him birthday wishes via Myspace.

Now it is Monday again and I have five days separating me and the weekend... I keep telling myself after I make it through this week only two more weeks until I get my week of vacation, go me! It'll be nice. Collin is gonna try and take one or two days off with me.

I guess I should get to working now... I'd much rather be back at home in my nice warm, comfy bed... Oh well, c'est la vie.

Quick question, I know others have asked this before but this came up while driving around town yesterday on the way home, how do people without chins wear party hats? We'd like to find someone without a chin and ask them but we see that ending badly for us... Do they use "wardrobe tape" like the starlets that wear really low cut dresses and tops use? It's an interesting thought to ponder.

Monday, Monday....

It's Friday, Time For Some Weekend

With Spring sproinging all about us, Collin and I have a project this weekend! (Remind me when we are done, and I start bitching about what a pain it was that it was all my idea in the first place...) Right now our "bedroom" is the front room of the two bedrooms and our window opens out into the carport. The spare bedroom is our computer area and the cat's room, with a window that gazes out upon the neighbor's back yard and immediately a fence. After much consideration I have decided I want to switch the two rooms, and after discussing it with Collin the pros far out-weigh the cons. The biggest cons: the second bedroom is smaller than the one we sleep in now (oh well, we only go in there to use the bed anyways...), another issue is that it wouldn't be completely dark when the sun comes up (again, big deal, we are typically up with or before the sun... plus I am still scared of the dark...), the only other issue is where the closet door is in that room (I have thought of a rememdy for that situation anyways). Now for the pros: the outlet closest to the window is on another circuit than the living room (unlike the room we sleep in now, this is good if we want to use a little AC unit in the bedroom come summer time), the window won't open into the carport so we won't here all the coming and going of our neighbors (slamming car doors, talking, etc.), likewise people in the carport won't be able to hear us... sleeping... And, it'll be closer to the bathroom so maybe I will be more likely to get up when I need to pee in the middle of the night (for clarification: I am not saying I pee the bed because I am too lazy to get up, I am saying I ignore the urge and go back to sleep, and eventually I have to pee so bad I will get up... But it's cold outside the covers.). There are other good reasons for this project but my train got derailed. I should get back to work...

Why Do I Taste Egg Salad?

Just to let you know, before you try to read this, I am at work and posting this in between pulling people's credit reports. This will probably end up some garbled mess of words that will only make sense to me... And those who are familiar with me and my thought patterns (Collin & K). Don't say I didn't warn you.

There is nothing like watching cold pizza become re-animated in the microwave... It's like watching a cadaver be revived. Don't judge me, I am artistic.

With regards to the title: Collin and I made egg salad for lunch on Sunday. Yesterday (Monday) afternoon, my mouth suddenly tasted like egg salad. This disturbs me due to the facts that a) I had eaten three other meals since then and b) I had brushed my teeth twice since then (once Sunday night and again Monday morning before work). Hopefully you can understand why this bothered me...

To the Northbound Traffic Light on 25th St SE at the intersection of 25th and McGilchrist: Fuck you. You are a douchebag traffic light and you piss me off. Half the time I come your way you turn red for no effing reason, or for one car. THEN you stay red for a couple minutes after that one car has long since made their way onto 25th. What gives?

This weekend was fun... Saturday Collin and I replaced one of the O2 sensors in the truck. It was fairly easy. Sunday we went to Minto Brown and walked around in the rain. To prevent us from not going on walks due to the weather we bought rain ponchos at Walmart. When they say, "One size fits most" they mean it. Seriously, if you can't fit into one of those ponchos you probably can't move enough to get outside anyways. I'm a big girl and Collin is a big guy, and both of us were swimming in our ponchos. We also bought new umbrellas since my FIL jacked our really nice ones before we moved out last year. Oh well. Collin got a manly drab green one, and I got a really cute magenta one with purple trim. It's awesome.

Ugh, I have a love/hate relationship with pulling credit reports. I hate that it takes forever to pull them. I love looking at them though and seeing what people have on their reports. I guess I am just nosy like that. Haha.

I think this is all for now... I might post again later... Depends on how I feel, and if I feel like there is anything worthwhile to share that I neglected to mention now....

Toodles Poodles.

You Don't Want To Read This

Ugh... I finally succumbed to the nasty little cold bug that has been flying all around Salem.... Ick! It was a horrible weekend that carried over into Monday and today, and more than likely tomorrow as well. I did nothing this weekend. Collin and I just watched movies and chilled at home. I am hoping I get over this in the next couple days. And, of course I can't afford to miss any work, especially since we found a new person to hire out of the other craptastic applicants. I am so freaking congested, and can hardly breathe.... It sucks ass. My nose goes from totally stuffed to running like a leaky faucet. My cough sounds atrocious. I think I have coughed up as much gunk as I am going to cough up. I think now it is mostly my nose and sinuses. Last night my mucus was a little bloody when I blew my nose, so obviously my sinuses are way inflamed... I am absolutely miserable, but I'm a trooper and I am downing vitamins and green tea and water like it's my life blood. Thank god for Nyquil... I have been taking that for the last three nights in a row... Between Friday night and Sunday morning I slept about twenty one hours. I slept ten hours Friday night, took a three hour nap on Saturday and then slept at least another eight hours Saturday night. So yeah... Told you that you wouldn't want to read this. Hopefully my next post will be more happy and sunshiney. I haven't had the energy for any shenanigans.... Back to work... Just need to last another two hours and twenty minutes...

*Cut me Ling-Ling... Cut me!*

Heathen Jesus Will Twist Your Nipples

Now that could be taken two ways: Racially or Religiously. I could be talking about Jesus, a heathen version of the man who inspired Christianity, or I could be talking about Jesus, a backwoods heathenistic hispanic man with a pension for torture... Take it as you will (and preferrably in the way that least offends you).

Some days I notice that it seems my right hand and left hand are in a race while I am typing. Every now and then one gets a little ahead of the other and when trying to type Smith, for example, I type Smtih. It's like my left hand is saying, "HA! Eat that right hand I am just as important and quick as you!" (I say this being that I am right hand dominant.) It gets annoying after awhile... But it's good to be slightly ambidextrous.

Yesterday was a blast... No. Poor Renee was out sick with a cold. To be helpful I attempted to work some collections (R is working quite a few units... I don't know how she does it.) By ten-ish I was ready to gouge my eyes out with paper clips. In two hours I remembered exactly why collections is one of about three things I DO NOT do in this office. I do everything else instead. Yea, it was fun....

Last night, Collin and I went for our typical post-work walk. As we were leaving the house it was sprinkling ever so lightly. I figured it would stop quickly, as all the other showers had that afternoon. WRONG! As we were reaching Englewood Park it started to rain more, and by the time we made our loop through the park to head home it was practically pouring. Naturally, when we were almost home it finally started to let up... We were soaked when we walked through the door. Advantage to living on our own: (after closing the blinds in the living room) we were able to take off the wet clothes as soon as we walked through the door. Fun...

I guess I should get to work, we (Renee and I) get to do interviews today! WooHoo!!

Awkward Moments In Public Places

Happy March! (I cannot believe it is already March!) It already is starting to feel more and more like spring-time. Here's the calendar pic for the month:
"Chuck Norris beat the sun in a staring contest."

Time for the weekend rundown. First off, it was another awesome weekend and it also marked (well Sunday did) our one year anniversary of living here. And what a freaking year it has been. This one has started out rocky but I have every hope that it is all for something awesome. Heck, one awesome thing to come out of it already is getting better pay at my job. So yeah... Stay tuned.

Back to the weekend:

Saturday:
We did the usual morning routine of grocery shopping for the basics (we only go BIG TIME grocery shopping once a month) and breakfast afterward (we po' so we eat at home... Okay not really poor just frugal). I found an awesomely comfy new pair of jeans at WalMart for twenty bucks, and I have started to wear out my awesome jeans I got at Torrid, so I bought the WalMart jeans. I love them.

After shopping, as previously mentioned, we went home and had breakfast. Once breakfast settled and there wasn't a possibility of vomiting up Simply Orange Pineapple Orange Juice and turkey-sausage-eggwhite-wholegrain-english muffin sandwich, we decided to go to the park.

We again (like last weekend) wanted to walk around an area we hadn't been in at Minto Brown, but this time we had a map to review before setting out on our adventure. We did a three mile loop and went in the opposite direction than last time and stuck to the paved paths. Probably about a mile to a mile and a quarter in we see a guy coming towards us obviously walking in the opposite direction as us. I try not to judge people by appearance but he looked homeless, and sort of like he could hurt someone (like bad). We just continue on our path and as we get closer the guy suddenly starts talking as though he was talking to someone on his cell phone or hands free kit.

Loudly he said, "I can't go to Hawaii now, I am disabled..."

Not wanting to be rude I toned out his conversation. Only problem with this picture.... He didn't have a hands free kit, nor did he have a cell phone.... *eyes wide* We passed him and began to put some distance between us and him he started talking louder, almost yelling. We thought for sure he was gonna turn around...

At this point we started to walk a little faster, and as we got around the next bend blew a slight sigh of relief. One he wasn't following behind us and two there was another pair of people walking towards us (so in the same direction as him) and they had dogs; a big dog and a little ankle biter. Collin's reasoning is that if anything he will eat the little dog and be too full to follow us.

Once we completed our terrifying three mile walk we again came home. Had lunch and then decided we were still in need of something to do. It was about two at this point and I remembered I had a gift certificate to the Book Bin (thank you awesome younger brother who works at the Corvallis Book Bin) and that after watching Fight Club on A&E a couple weekends before I needed to finally take Kaitlyn's advice and check out the dude who wrote the book. I had no clue what section Chuck Palahniuk would fit into, turns out he's in the literature section there. We bought Fight Club and Choke, both Palahniuk books that seemed sufficiently twisted.

When we went to leave some jack ass parked next to me in some silver thing. If you are familiar with downtown Salem you know in the one way grid if it isn't parallel parking then it is slanted. Well the douchbag next to me must have missed that day at drivers ed and parked almost perpindicular to the curb. It took everything in me not to just clip his rear passenger corner as I backed out (I love my Ricky too much to do that to him).

We then did something we hadn't really done in at least a year. We went to the mall!!! Well, we went to Lancaster Mall. We looked at shoes, and I found the next pair that I want... They will be awesome! And when I can afford to get them I will and I will post an awesome picture of me wearing them and roundhouse kicking some douchebag in the face... Okay maybe not, but I will make sure everyone sees how awesome they are and that they are mine.

As we were leaving the mall, we ran into an "old friend" of ours (his) who works security there at the mall... Turns out him and his wife were living out at his parents house now (and he seemed a little disappointed to find out we lived on our own now). He still looked creepish to me (and always has since the time when he was spending the night at Collin's parents and I woke up to him watching me and Collin sleep...). While we were standing there talking to him, this group of guys walked by and I could have sworn I went to school with one of them. I am pretty sure it was Curtis Sawyer but could be wrong, I just glanced at him for a second while we were talking to the security dude. Cahrazy...

Needless to say Saturday was a fun adventure.

Sunday:
We just kind of chilled, went to see his parents, played the Wii, watched a couple movies, and went for a walk.

And now we are back to Monday.... Yay!
