Sometimes I May Just Scare You

Take last night for example...

Collin and I were watching Grey's Anatomy, but it was at a commercial break. A commercial came on for a movie that is coming out this next Tuesday (Law Abiding Citizen) and I would like to see it (I LOVE Gerard Butler... He is wonderful eye candy!), and in that moment it dawned on me that another movie I really REALLY want came out this last Tuesday. I then said something like, "Oh, that other movie came out this week!!!" And Collin's asked me what movie. Feeling childish (or something) I said, "Just a movie." Well he wouldn't let it go....

Then he went for the Best Buy ad from last weekend that was still on the coffee table (he couldn't remember what movies came out this last week) and again the childish part of me didn't want him to get the answer so easily.I jumped up and tried to grab the ad from him... At first I was unsuccessful, but (as most everyone, especially my husband, knows) I am stubborn as hell and did not give up without a fight. I managed to snatch it out of his grasp and then he tried to get it back. I managed to get from the living room to the hallway. From there I became desperate and started tearing (and biting) the ad into pieces and letting them fall on the floor.

Feeling smug, I figured I had won and him being the loser should clean up..... Mistake! Then he started sifting through the shreds. My lighting-fast, cat-like ninja reflexes allowed me to dive down and grab most of the shreds and lay on them on the floor. He managed to grab a chunk, barricaded himself in the "office," and hoped he had the right chunks.... He didn't!

I took my little pile of newpaper shreds into the kitchen, grabbed a gallon size ziploc bag, put all the shreds in it, and added water. Ha! I am a genius! I then proceeded to knead the watery paper shreds in the bag. I am so wicked smart!

I must admit through most of the time this all transpired I was giggling and laughing rather maniacally....

The movie, by the way, was The Time Traveler's Wife. I read the book, and I know the movie probably won't live up to it but I still want it.

Oh, and my cover was totally blown this morning when we went on OnDemand to watch a music video and they were showing a preview for the movie. Collin knew right then...

I am so glad it is finally Friday, tomorrow I am going to Portland with Kristina and we are going to IKEA (and swinging by the Carhartt store for my dad's birthday present!). I am super excited! I seriously cannot get over how freaking happy I am that she is back in Oregon!

Now I have been sufficiently distracted.... And my mental train derailed... I am out.
