Why Don't We All Just Put On Our Silly Hats And Act Like Children?

This week has been an interesting one. Work was good and bad in the same breath. There was a major rift caused between a couple of people in the office due to childish behavior and pride. By childish behavior, in this instance, I am referring to grown adults who decide to throw tantrums and pity parties to get their way. And they don't know how to calmly use their words. It was a mess. What's worse is that certain people bent to this behavior and gave said person what they want. Now said person is barely speaking to two of us, and not speaking at all to a third. The third person is obviously hurt by this (or she wouldn't bring it up), but refuses to make the first move. Such is the same for the tantrum thrower. They were really good friends until about five o'clock this past Monday. It's sad and slightly pathetic. Sad because there are only four of us (not counting the owners), and any discord resonates loudly through our small group. Pathetic because we are talking about grown adults (at least twenty years older than me). I am intrigued to see how long it takes for their walls to crumble and for them to get over themselves... Ego, it's a bitch when it gets bruised.

In other news, fixing all of our dental problems is going to be much like financing a car... Oh well, I am excited to get my teeth back into awesomeness. When I saw the dentist yesterday she referred me to an oral surgeon who will extract my busted teeth and put in implants. I am anxious to get in for a consultation and find out what that's going to cost me.... Other than needing some fillings and two or three crowns, she said my teeth are in pretty good shape and that I have great brushing habits. It was kind of funny when she said, "Oh, so you smoke?" And I said yea, about two packs a week at work. She then of course asked what I did for work, and I told her I work at a collection agency. Her response was, "Yea, I could see how you might need a puff or two in that environment." Of course she did then say that I should consider quitting, and if things go my way in the near future I probably will.

Speaking of, there is a job I am trying to apply for but the link isn't up properly which is pissing me off... Hopefully, they will fix the em effer tomorrow. Ugh.

After my dentist appointment (in fact a few hours after...) I went and had an eye exam and ordered me some new glasses! Yay! This pair is three years old and scratched beyond being easy to see past. In about ten days I should get my new ones. They are cute!

Back to the auto financing... Oops, I mean dental financing. Ha ha. Last night we applied for our Care Credit and got approved for $3,200.00. We'll see how far we get with that and our insurance, and if we need to we can up the line amount later. Care Credit, if you are unfamiliar with it, is an awesome resource if you don't have insurance, or you do but something you need done goes beyond your benefits, or even if you have a pet that needs special medical treatment that you can't pay all at once (yes, there are vets that are Care Credit Providers!). It is much like a credit card and they do base a lot on your credit standing. They also have special deals, like no interest if paid in six, twelve, or eighteen months. And so on and so forth.

On the agenda this next week: survive the first week of the month at work, preferably without any headaches; and call the oral surgeon to find out about coming in for a consultation.... Oh, and call Angie (business manager at dental office) and let her know about our Care Credit and have her resubmit my treatment plan (insurance was closed since it was a weekend day) so I have a more accurate estimate on my teeth, and have her fax it to me at work, and set up my next appointment. I'm sure there will be other stuff to crop up this week, there always is...
