Sweet Perfection

That's what this weekend has been. Got all of our bills done for the month, made the house sparkle (which leaves me in an odd zen like euphoria), played some of my oh-so-addicting Katamari Forever, made a killer salad and balsamic vinagrette yesterday (and plan to do so again today!), and have thus far spent today relaxing; went through the Sunday ads and coupons, and started dinner (pan seared-slow cooked pork roast). Wow, that was a crazy long sentence... We'll call it a list so that I don't get the award for longest run on sentence.... ;-)

There is one level I am trying to beat on my game, but I just can't seem to do it.... I have tried strategizing and nothing has worked. The largest I have rolled is about 5,000 km and I have to reach 10,000 km to beat the level.... So after I try it a couple times I have been going back to the first levels and redoing them to get a better score and bigger Katamari.... Or more perfect Katamari depending on the level.... I swear I will beat that level.... Someday.....

I picked up a new kitchen rug today. I had to throw it in the wash because Spazzer started going to town rolling around on it and rubbing it with her face and clawing it, so I figure there was something on it that didn't need to be... Of course we are talking about Spazzer, who used to lick newspapers as a kitten... Bizarre, isn't she? We'll see what happens when it is dry and I put it back in the kitchen.

Next weekend should be equally as great as this one. Maybe even better. Saturday, Renee and I are supposed to go to IKEA, and I also have to stop at the Carhartt store up there for my Dad's birthday present. (His birthday is the following weekend on the 20th!) And who knows what other shenanigans I will get myself into next weekend.

I made an appointment to see the dentist. I am equal parts excited, and nervous. Afterall, I only know what I can see. I am hoping that it will all go the way I hope it does. Sadly, I haven't seen a dentist in about ten years, and there is some serious damage to a couple of teeth... Okay, who am I kidding, I am missing two teeth in front, which is why I don't smile anymore. I am going to Aspen Dental; they just opened in Keizer, and are supposed to be pretty awesome. Plus, they are covered by the dental insurance we have through Collin's work. They weren't my first choice, but I need to go with who we have coverage with.... I have these horribly wretched visions of the receptionist or dental assistant, heck, even the dentist him/herself screaming in abject horror when they see my teeth. Even though (except for the two broken/not there teeth) my other teeth are pretty and white (I brush at least twice a day, everyday... I even carry a toothbrush and toothpaste in my purse at all times....), I am extremely self conscious of them. Wish me luck! (Not yet... The appointment isn't until  the 27th)

I am going to make lunch now, and then play some Katamari before the Commercials start.... Yep, I am one of those people who watch the "Big Game" for the commercials....

I am so super excited about you finally being able to go to the dentist...you have really wanted this for so long. And once you get pretty teeth again, maybe my Alicia will start smiling more!!
