Soup, Toast, and Hockey

Sheesh, what an exhausting week this was. This is probably going to be a little choppy since I am watching the hockey game that is on right now (it's 12:06pm as I begin this and the game is at intermission). I am also eating my lunch; left over toasted orzo soup and whole wheat toast.

Tuesday was one of the worst days at work. Definitely made top five for worst days... It was just explosive and ridiculous. It left me feeling drained, disgusted, disappointed, and utterly defeated. Blessedly everything was resolved before I went home and everything is cool now, but it was one of those days that left a rancid taste in my mouth.

I am not going to go into details. Essentially two people had a disagreement, they brought it to me as I was acting office manager for the week (the regular manager was on vacation), and instead of giving me a moment to review the issue and make a decision the two bickered like children; at one point, one of them turned on me and started getting on my case. I got emotional and it was just a mess from there. As I said, everything is resolved and things are as good as they are going to get...

I am definitely ready for change. Something. Anything. Okay, not just anything. I want a positive change, one that will help me and Collin move forward in our life.

In other news, while at the mall yesterday I decided to pop into the Trade Secret and see if they had the original Hempz lotion that I freaking love and am almost out of. As I walked in I was shocked to see my former boss from Beauty Express standing behind the counter! I found out she had been managing that salon for about a year and has been living in Dallas for the last few years. It was great seeing her and catching up with her.

Tuesday will be fun. I am leaving work at two so I can go get fillings!! Yay! Can you feel my excitement? Can you?! I know it's a good thing... I'm not a big fan of needles (shots to be specific since I did have my tongue pierced at one point) in my mouth.

I can't focus on this, the hockey game is way too intense and distracting... I might post again later...
